About
Joan and Roger Allard, along with their daughter Kimberly, are enjoying a life of adventure on the high seas. They plan to spend the next couple of years sailing together as a family. Their tentative travel plans for New Paige are:
* Early 2008 – leave California for Mexico, spending time in Puerto Vallarta,
* Mid 2008 – leave Mexico and cross the Pacific Ocean to the Marquesas Islands, spending about 7 months touring the south sea islands, including:
- June 2008 – Tahiti
- July 2008 – Bora Bora
- August 2008 – American and Western Samoa
- September 2008 - Tonga
- October 2008 – Fiji
* November 2008 – leave the South Pacific and arrive in New Zealand to spend Christmas,
* 2009 – cross over to Australia and spend quite a bit of time there, touring around both on the boat and overland.
* 2010 – have the New Paige transported to the Mediterranean and tour Spain, Greece, Turkey and other destinations
* after that, who knows? Saltspring Island?
Note that, despite the Allard’s world travels, this blog keeps Mountain Time (UTC -7, or UTC -6 in summer).

Hi. I got 2 postcards from Kimberly, Keep sending them. I`m using them at school with my grade 3 students. We`re doing the trip with you. I`m happy to hear that you`re in Mexico. Here in Eel River Cr. we have 10 feet of snow. Pretending that we`re with you is great.
Take care.
Joane and grade 3 students.

Looks like New paige is having a lot of fun. We had a poor summer with cooler than usual weather. Dahlias finally did well. We cleaned up again at the Sannich Fair. Weather has already gone back to fall and cool again. I had a busy summer with three trips in Alaska and two up the coast and one down to San Fran. Maybe we can hook up in New Zealand or Austrailia as we are planning a trip down there. No dates yet but we will have to get away from the winter. Best regards Phil and Teresa

Just wanted to wish the Allard family a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. I have tried to keep up with your wonderful travel blogs. I must say I am so happy that you get to experience this once in a lifetime adventure. I know you are having fun learning all kinds of things. We are busy trying to keep the racing business going. I have gone back to work 3 days a week. It has been hard since I was with Isabelle for 12 months. She is growing so fast. She is now 16 months old. I can send you pics if you have a email address. She looks like James. Well, take care and talk to you soon.

Hi Allard Family. Following your travels religiously. What a fantastic voyage so far. I think you and Roger appear to be getting younger but Kimberly appears to be growing up – strange!! Hope you are enjoying summer in NZ while we have been snowbound on mild, temperate Salt Spring Is. A belated Merry Christmas and happy travels in 2009
